Prince: FallInLuve2Nite

Prince: FallInLuve2Nite

So, I don’t normally make a fuss about Prince releasing material (because he does it so much, and is lately so bad that I ignore it), but he’s my 3rd favorite after Janet and MJ, and he released a fun song called FallInLove2Nite that is a combo of disco, 80’s funk, and pop. He’s using his Camille voice, and it’s very lightweight; however, he released this single via Epic, and it’s charting. It’s a great song. Check it out here. It’s very light, soft, and sweet. Something about it evokes angel...

Fred Phelps: Rest In Piss

Okay, the day is stunningly gorgeous, my mood is buoyant, I feel amazing, Spring may finally be sprung, and everyone and everything seems to be exploding with happiness. All around me people are laughing and smiling, the trees are putting out flowers, the sun is punching through, I need to take my jacket off finally, and then I look at the news… Fred Phelps is dead. The whole world seems to be celebrating, whether aware of this or not. Just his parting from this space-time dimension has finally allowed light back into the world…...

Spinning the Wheel

(Note: Do not play the bets listed here. They are far too complex to manage in real life at a crowded casino. Instead look at the strategy mentioned in Risk & Reward.) I do love a good George Michael reference! So, not that I intend to turn into a professional gambler, but I do love solving riddles. At least that is how I think of games. Chess, in particular, is a favorite of mine (though I cannot claim to be any good at it… I would love to learn to think more than three or four moves in advance). At any rate, in case this...

Bros in their natural habitat

Tonight I was sitting out on a terrace by a fire pit, admiring the gorgeous day and beautiful view of Kansas City, MO (which happens to be a really lovely place). I had been out there for about 20 minutes when some boisterous young men came carousing outside and sat around the fire pit with me. It was a squadron of hotties, so I stayed to observe them quietly (I almost left, even though they had invaded my space). To clarify: They weren’t hot because they were straight (but it was painfully obvious that they were), but because they were...

I’m so GAY!

I’m so GAY!

Every now and then I need to just wallow in the stereotype that is my gayness… I love fluffy and sparkly things (if someone ever finds a way to meld diamonds and cats my head will cave in from happiness). My favorite flavor is red, regardless of whether that is cherry, strawberry, or cinnamon. Pink should be required garb on Wednesdays, and P!nk should be the soundtrack those days, too. While we’re on that subject: Female singers are, by default, better and more interesting than male singers (except MJ, Prince, George Michael, and...

So Fresh & So Clean

So Fresh & So Clean

Okay, so I feel much better after letting off some stream with that last entry. Ahem. Sorry. So, what to talk about today? How about the fact that I have a beautiful home furnished the way I want, a refinanced car that will get paid off a tad faster, a healthy body (that hopefully will be video ready in a couple weeks when I submit new pics), and a sweet kitty on my lap as I type this? I need to post pics of Ophelia and Sméagol sometime. They are the Kitty Consortium, and they keep me balanced. Ophelia is a lap cat, Sméagol is a buffoon, and...

Firing Clients: A Rant

Firing Clients: A Rant

Fair warning: I am about to have a fucking rant. And if you don’t want to read that type of energy, now is the time to click off here and go somewhere else. I’m pissed, and this is my diary, and I need to get some shit off my chest. It isn’t pleasant, but sometimes it has to be done. And I’ve done it twice this weekend: I fired two clients. Perhaps I’m just getting too saturated with idiotic bullshit to be able to tolerate it anymore? Perhaps I’m getting cranky in my old age? Could it be that after five...

Cool Sculpting & Intermittent Fasting

So, I have debated whether or not to share this, but I remembered that WAAAY back in 2008 toward the beginning of my blog I wrote “Yes to Plastic Surgery” when a friend of mine was trying to decide whether or not to get a pec implant. This entry also comes on the heels of my writing “Roid Rage,” wherein I spoke about my choice to not take enhancers (despite a keen desire to do so). But recently I did have a treatment done, and thus far I have been very pleased with it. I want to talk about it, because, unlike other...

Part 8 of 13: Economics

Return to “Establishing a Career in Adult Entertainment: Index” There are three concepts I want to discuss here: Supply and Demand, Diversification, and Budgeting/Savings. As I have said many times before: Try to take the longer view. You may have days on end with no income. That could add up to a bad week, but don’t assume that to be the case. Rather, try to look at months, quarters, and years instead. This keeps the days and weeks less fretful, if you see you are on target for the month. If you have prepared for down cycles, you will...

Roid Rage

Okay, so the title of this post probably implies to you that I am experiencing rage because of steroid use. That would be true; however, I am experiencing rage that OTHER people use them, and I still don’t. I find myself more and more tempted to use them as time goes on. I have been working out for 22 years, and sometimes the journey seems like it will never end (probably because it never will). I have decided once again not to use steroids or human growth hormone, but only because as an artist process and context matter as much to me...
