Homophones: Devin Hunter and Devon Hunter

I was looking at the back pages of the blog account to see who was visiting from where, and somehow (as happens in net browsing) I came upon Devin Hunter. It’s funny, because we have a great deal in common, even though we’ve never met or chatted. At any rate, I thought that was fun. I may contact him, just for shits and giggles to see if he replies. There’s also a Devon Hunter who is a female hunter from Devon, UK. I also get traffic from people looking for fox hunter events in Devon. I wonder what people looking for her think when they stumble on me? LOL

  1. That’s always a fun thing to do. Before I was Gay Porn Fanatic, I was ‘The Great Porntificator’ and it was always interesting on Google Analytics to see what people would type in. No one could ever type / spell ‘Porntificator’ correctly.

  2. Exactly!! Too bad my mom found out about it. And the name was too long to put into a twitter. But it WAS fun while it lasted. I’m thinking about buying the name back.

    • You already have a “oh, this is hot” site, so you should buy pontificate.com, link it back and forth to your established blog, and make it a section to analyze pornography as a media worthy of critique and deep discussion.

  4. What the hell does “make it a section to analyze pornography as a media worthy of critique and deep discussion” mean?

    • It means just that: Why are certain fantasies a staple that never wear out? Why are men of color not more present? Why is danger sexy (i.e. Barebacking), even when it flies in the face of survival? If is has been shot artistically, what were the techniques? What is the psychology behind typecasting some men as more insertive and others more receptive, even if that isn’t true to their personal preferences? Why do people question that porn is worthy of discussion and analysis, even though it is interesting enough to watch?

  5. I think most people are into watching porn, more than they are into analyzing it. It would take a more work to write the analysis than any benefit you might get from it.
